ZEN 49 is made with 49 dried grains, vegetables, seafood, and superfoods and contains more ingredients than similar ZEN-related healthy food products currently sold.
ZEN-related healthy food products are generally popular. They contain 20g of mixture per pack and 10 to 20 types of grains.
It was sold through a Japanese QVC home shopping broadcast and became a tremendous success in Japan; now, you can enjoy it in Canada!
What's ZEN Food?
Zen Food is a natural health food rich in nutrients, and its origins come from mixing and eating seven grains. It was a high-protein nutritious food prepared by monks and ascetics before starting a long period of ascetic life, such as cave meditation. As its convenience and nutritional value became known, it developed into a food ordinary people enjoyed.
The seven grains refer to brown rice, glutinous rice, barley, black beans, black sesame seeds, perilla seeds, and Job’s tears. It is easy to eat and easy on the stomach and has the right mix of fiber, oil, and flavor, so it does not make you feel full, but it strengthens and maintains energy, and it gives you a clear and energetic mental health. There are general Zen Food mixed with seven grains and functional Seonshik that add vegetables or seaweed to the seven grains, such as nutritional food for students, weight control food, liver protection food, constipation improvement food, and stomach protection food.
Traditional Mixed Grain powder is a mixture of 7-10 grains ground into powder and served mainly as a drink to quench thirst in hot summers or as a breakfast or healthy snack. It is made more simply by adding rice, barley, glutinous beans, etc., than by adding seven grains like Zen food, and in the past, it was made only with rice or barley.
In the past, Zen food was a complete meal replacement containing many nutritious grains, and it was also used as a snack and drink.
